149. grateful for another holiday season with mi madre. counting my blessings every day. this was a sweet moment as my young cousin teaches her elder the ways of an electronic device. speaking two different languages to each other and still connecting on the vibration of love and humanity. we can learn a lot by being present to these kinds of moments and being present to the people in your life, as it will fill up heart, mind and spirit.

147. let go, let go, let go. that has been the theme for me these past few weeks. as the last leaves turn and give themselves over to another cycle of change, i’ve brought in their knowledge and have let go what no longer serves me. although this is a continuous process (for the rest of my life), this time in particular feels powerful as I leave behind all that has brought me here. the stories, the comfort and the ways of being. funny enough i had to move back home to begin anew. when i let go of the dualistic mind and allow myself to be open to everything, what i need shows up, even the discomfort. the discomfort of life offers the opportunity to get to know my true self and that is where my growth is, in the discomfort. so the question is, where have you been comfortable for too long? if you see where that is, challenge yourself to see what could be on the other side.
